Remodeling any space involves a lot of problem-solving. Trying to turn a dated or not so functional space into a beautiful and fully utilized area involves getting creative and making the most of what you’ve got. Then, throw the budget in, it becomes creative engineering. Here at Remodeling Consultants, we love these types of design challenges when it comes to home remodeling especially a Small Bathroom Remodel Stamford Connecticut.
As part of a whole home renovation in Yorktown, NY, we added a small bathroom right off of the kitchen. They didn’t want anything to big. Just a small bathroom with a little bit of charm. The tricky part here was to make it functional while not to take away any space from the kitchen. Adjusting some walls and re-working the layout of the kitchen, the architects were able to add the space needed for the homeowner. Now, let me show you around this small bathroom remodel.
The first thing we did was to continue the hardwood flooring from the kitchen and carried it into the bathroom. We also made sure the color theme matched as well. We continued with the light beige walls and white crown molding. Small details like this make the home come together. We also wanted to add some character to the room. We did this by adding some color with the wide frame mirror and a beautiful cherry wood walnut vanity. Topped off with the modern lighting and antique bronze fixtures. But the best part of this small bathroom is the window. We didn’t want to just put in a plain double-hung window. We really wanted to add the final piece. It needed a little bit of charm. This octagon window was the perfect touch. Framed out in the same white molding to match the crown molding added a nice elegance to the room. But the best part is the detailing. The homeowner added their very own piece of art in the middle. Truly a great compliment to the room.
