For every successful and pleasant home remodeling project, there are as many nightmare stories. From general contractors who don’t communicate or show up when expected, to poor craftsmanship and quality control, to the client having to deal with multiple tradesmen and even having to deal with the approvals, permits, and architectural review boards.
At Remodeling Consultants we eliminate all of those issues. We developed a system that streamlines the entire process, while giving our clients the peace of mind that their home renovation, remodel, or addition will be completed on time, and on budget. We employ teams of tradesmen all working exclusively for us. There are no subcontractors to deal with and you are assigned a single point of contact throughout every stage of the project. Below is the step by step Total Control system as you would experience it when you contact Remodeling Consultants.
Initial Contact
When you call Remodeling Consultants, one of our Design Consultants will arrange to meet with you at your home to discuss your future remodeling plans and ideas.
Home Visit
Our Design Consultant will arrive at the appointed time to discuss and analyze your specific remodeling needs and desires. Based on this conference, design drawings will be prepared, incorporating the ideas and needs you discussed. Your Design Consultant will help you determine the best solution for you and your home
Design Development
Your Design Consultant will arrange to meet at one of our offices or showroom to review design concepts and fine-tune them to your satisfaction. Your Design Consultant will then guide you through the selection of materials and finishes for your project.
Specification and Estimate Review
With all the details specified, actual material quantities and labor costs can now be precisely determined and your Design Consultant can prepare a true and detailed estimate of your project. Your Design Consultant will sit down with you to review the contract specifications and will present you with a final and firm price based on the detailed estimate. If that price is acceptable, then an Agreement is signed and a deposit is tendered. The next stages of work can begin.
Architectural Working Drawings
Your Design Consultant, Field Superintendent, and architect will visit your home, verify all dimensions and fully note existing conditions. A full set of architectural drawings will be prepared, reflecting the design and specifications previously determined. All technical aspects of building your project are confirmed and incorporated into these documents.
Preliminary Plan Review
When the working drawings are ready, your Design Consultant will guide you in a careful review of the entire project, finalizing design details and specifications.
Final Plan Review
At this meeting, the responsibility for your project is officially transferred from the Design Consultant to the Field Superintendent. Your Field Superintendent will review the logistical details of the project with you. The final construction drawings are signed off and the project is ready for production.
Production
The production department assumes control. A crew and foreman are assigned specifically to your project by your Superintendent. All trades are coordinated with the production team. All materials are ordered and delivered to the site. “Ground Breaking” day has arrived!
