In Pound Ridge, we completed a stunning master bathroom renovation. It took a month to complete and took place last fall. We preserved the warren-like layout that already existed, which included a privatized water closet, separated changing area, a large linear make up vanity, and a bathing and shower area with a shaving vanity.
To make this master bathroom appear as big as possible, we added cathedral ceilings in order to open up the space. We also incorporated exposed rafter and collar ties. The large glass shower features ceramic tiles on the floor and the top of the rub platform, pulling together the neutral color scheme. Large mirrors are used on the walls throughout the space. Ceramic Grigio Matte Linear Deco tiles were used for around the tub area.
GZMV Mud was used as material for the water closet floor. The tub is a Jacuzzi fusion jetted spa tub with a Wenge wood platform top. Solid wood cabinetry with marble countertops line the far wall, and underneath a large mirror. Strip lighting is found underneath the wood paneling that frames the bathroom, along with a copious amount of natural light from the skylight in between the rafters.
